Tired of the same old dough? Making your own dough is easy. This wheat dough takes about 5-7 minutes to prepare, including the kneading.
What you need:
2 Cups of regular white flour
1 1/4 Cups of Wheat Flour
1 Cup of lukewarm (no more than 100 degrees) water
1 package of active yeast
3 Tablespoons of olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
2 quick shakes of garlic powder
**This is enough dough for 2 12" Pizzas or 4 good-sized calzones.
Step 1. Mix the water and yeast in a cup.
Step 2. Mix the rest of the ingredients together with a spoon in a large bowl. Stir in the yeast-water.
Step 3. Need until the dough is smooth and elastic. Give this a good 5 minutes of kneading.
Step 4. Get the extra flour out of the bowl and grease it. Turn the dough in the bowl to grease the dough.
Step 5. Place in a warm place for 2 hours or until it has doubled in bulk.
After the dough has risen, turn it on a lightly floured surface. Knead about 4-5 times. Divide into as many pieces you need. Roll out each portion, and make your pizza, calzone, stomboli, whatever! :)
**Note** The picture is of the dough before I let it rise.
